The difference lockdown easing makes to Hitchin!

Who has been enjoying our new found freedoms once again in our town?

Hitchin has been full of activity since lockdown limits were lifted on Monday and nothing illustrates that more than our two pictures of the town centre.

The first image, taken on Monday, shows a bustling Hermitage Road in the heart of our town as activity returns to Hitchin.

The second was taken just after Christmas restrictions were introduced - with not a soul about, in what is normally one of Hitchin's busiest street.

We know which picture we prefer!

No wonder Hermitage Road hair salon owner Felix told us the atmosphere this week feels 'celebratory'.
