Yeovil Town 1-0 Stevenage as former Boro boss Darren Sarll says: I'm delighted after FA Cup upset
Former Stevenage boss Darren Sarll admitted he was 'delighted' after his side's giantkilling victory over League Two side Stevenage.
The ex-Lamex manager led his Glovers' side to an impressive 1-0 triumph over the North Herts side live on BBC2.
On a bitterly cold afternoon in the West Country, the highly-rated Sarll took time to hail his Huish heroes, after a second half goal by Charlie Wakefield was enough to put the home side in the draw for the third round of the world's oldest knock-out tournament.
Speaking to Nub News after the match, Sarll said: "I'm delighted at the result and performance. I'm very proud of my team. You can see the bond between the fans and the players and this result means a lot to me.
"We worked so hard and battled for everything. I'm not bothered who we get in the third round, l haven't really thought about it.
"Let's hope for a Premier League side. That would be some game." Modest Sarll, who has been on the radar of League clubs, added: "I have to say a big well done to our fans, who created a great atmosphere.
"I haven't seen my family all week as we've been preparing for this game. I'm just going to enjoy my Saturday night now."
