Police have released a CCTV image of someone they want to identify following a theft in Hitchin.

At around 5.10pm on Thursday 19 December, numerous items of women's clothing were reportedly taken from Oliver Bonas on Bancroft without payment.

Officers are releasing the image because they believe the person pictured may have been in the area at the time and could have information to assist the investigation.

PC Joshua Rutland, from the North Herts Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "Is this you, or do you recognise this person? Please email me at [email protected] with any information."

You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/108280/24.

Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
