A beautiful church near to Hitchin has released a special set of seasonal cards for sale to boost coffers, thanks to the generosity of Co-op Funeralcare.

The stunning All Saints' Church in Willian has produced 'All Saints in the Snow' cards, with printing costs kindly paid for by the Co-op's funeral home on the outskirts of Hitchin, on the Arlesey Road in Ickleford.

The evocative cards picture a snowy scene at All Saints' church are sure to be popular in the run-up to Christmas.

The church was quick to hail Co-op's community-minded gesture by saying: "Many thanks to Co-op Funeralcare of Hitchin and Letchworth for paying for the printing."

Speaking to Nub News, a spokeswoman for the Co-op's branch on Ickleford Road added: "We were only too happy to help such a good cause."

Last month the church, which dates back to Norman times, released a calendar in a bid to aid its restoration fund, after the Covid crisis caused a shortfall in their attempts to raise £100k for restoration works.

A limited number of 'All Saints in the Snow' cards are now available to buy, in person at the inconic church in Willian, or via emailing [email protected]

Eight cards for £5 (more if p&p needed)

The calendar is still available to purchase, from All Saints' Church Willian, St Paul's Church, Letchworth, Willian Post Office, The Three Horseshoes, The Fox in Willian and Lordship Food Market in Howard Drive, Letchworth.

Price £5.00 or via email at [email protected] (£6.50 including p&p)
