Following the launch of Two Minutes Past Eight, a free, 4-page A5 football newsletter published every two weeks, founder Katie Wilson has confirmed new stockists across the local area. Physical copies are currently available to pick up select shops in The Hyde, Stevenage. Starting this Sunday, distribution will expand further across Hitchin, with copies landing in local pubs, barbers, and hairdressers. These spots were chosen specifically as welcoming community spaces where people can sit back, relax, and enjoy a quick read.

At its heart, Two Minutes Past Eight aims to capture the spirit of classic football fanzines from the 80s and 90s, deliberate in its step away from today's digital noise. Built around the core theme of "Football, friendship, and feeling okay," the project stems directly from Katie's own passions and personal experience. Having lived through—and continuing to live through—her own mental health battles, she wanted to create a simple, screen-free moment of connection, nostalgia, and lighthearted humor. The publication focuses on the lighter side of football culture, serving up trivia, historical quirks, and short features designed to spark warmth and real-world conversation over a pint or a trim.

To keep the project accessible to everyone, the newsletter will always remain completely free to read in physical print. For Katie—who is also the co-founder of North Herts Pride and the creator of the local community project Katie's PRIDE—this fanzine is another way to foster connection across the area. As new 4-page issues come out every fortnight, there is an open invitation for local mental health initiatives, sports clubs, charities, and community groups to get involved. Any organisation interested in partnering, sharing support information, hosting copies, or helping with local distribution is encouraged to reach out and collaborate.
