Witness appeal after serious road traffic collision in Stevenage

Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following a road traffic collision in Stevenage.

The incident occurred around 945am on Wednesday (March 20), when it is reported that a grey Kia Picanto had collided with a tree on the A602 Hooks Cross, near to The Three Horseshoes public house.

The driver of the vehicle, a man aged in his fifties, was airlifted to hospital for injuries currently described as life threatening.  

Detective Sergeant Shona Birkby, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Our enquiries are continuing as we work to establish the full circumstances around this incident. 

"If you were driving in the area at the time and have a dash cam fitted, please check it as you may have recorded some crucial footage to assist our investigation.

"Please email me at [email protected] with any information, no matter how small or insignificant you think the details you have may be."

 Call the non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 194 of 20 March.
