A serving Hertfordshire police officer is due to appear at court today (Monday, November 10) after being charged with sexual offences.
PC Lewis Black, aged 26, of Kings Langley, faces two counts of sexual assault against one male victim. He is set to appear at Southwark Crown Court in London for a Pre-Trial Preparation Hearing.
The charges relate to incidents which allegedly took place in Watford between December 2023 and August 2024. Hertfordshire Constabulary confirmed that PC Black was suspended from duty immediately after the allegation was made.
A police spokesperson said the force takes any allegation of this nature extremely seriously, and that appropriate action was taken as soon as the report was received.
