Fathers dining at Hitchin's Zizzi restaurant this Father's Day could walk away with anything from a free meal to a holiday in Italy as part of a nationwide giveaway.

The Italian restaurant chain has teamed up with beer brand Peroni to hand out more than 6,600 Father's Day gifts across its 133 restaurants on Sunday 21 June.

The first 50 fathers through the doors at each restaurant will receive a special Father's Day card at the end of their meal, revealing a surprise prize.

Gifts range from free starters, mains and desserts to Peroni merchandise, cases of beer and £100 gift cards. One lucky dad across the UK and Ireland will also win a holiday to Italy courtesy of Peroni.

The promotion is open to dads, stepdads and father figures, with Zizzi hoping to help families celebrate the occasion – especially those who may have left gift-buying until the last minute.

The Father's Day giveaway comes as Zizzi launches its summer menu, featuring seasonal dishes including Hot Honey Pork Belly, Crab & Lemon Arancini, Chicken Milanese Fonduta, Quattro Pomodoro Rustica Pizza and a Tropical Piña Colada Sundae.

Customers visiting on Father's Day will also be among the first to sample two new additions to the menu: Crispy Chilli Calamari, served with hot honey and crispy chilli oil, and a Salted Caramel Chocolate Brownie with a gooey caramel centre, vanilla gelato and salted caramel drizzle.

The offer is available at the Hitchin branch as part of the nationwide promotion.

Families hoping to secure one of the Father's Day gifts are encouraged to book in advance, as only the first 50 fathers dining at each restaurant will receive a prize card.
