As lockdown kicks in services available to the public are being curbed to slow the rise of Covid.

Hitchin Library is no different and the site at Paynes Park is now only open for returns, the collection of 'Ready Reads' packs, reservations and pre-booked computer use.

Until further notice, Hitchin Library's 'Ready Reads' collecting times are as follows:

Monday: 1pm-5pm

Tuesday: 10am-5pm

Wednesday: closed

Thursday: 10am-5pm

Friday: 10am-5pm

Saturday: 10am-4pm

Sunday: closed.

Library boss Rebekah Nicholas told Hitchin Nub News: "You can also get stuck in to our brilliant ebooks and audiobooks and read your favourite magazines and newspapers online."
