In the meantime read on to learn about how the pandemic prompted two new, vibrant Hitchin businesses led by the dynamic Rosalia Lazzara.

.................

"I started my business in the middle of the pandemic, after losing my job to redundancy," says Rosalia.

With more than a decade's experience in sales in all different sectors including construction, events, advertising, financial services, beauty and fitness, the Hitchin businessperson accumulated a wealth of people skills, knowledge and readily transferable know-how.

"The redundancy gave me the push I needed to finally become my own boss," she says.

Rosalia is based in Hitchin, with two companies providing services to UK wide businesses, The Content Hive and Elevici.

Content Hive

The Content Hive employs a team of copywriters and video gurus to develop content strategies that amplify values and stories, she explains.

We do this by putting our creativity, writing and editing skills together to create innovative, imaginative and 100 per cent original content, she says.

"In short, we can give your business that extra buzz needed. All the while saving you time, time that you can spend running your business," Rosalia adds.

Elevici

Drawing on her years of successful sales techniques, Rosalia says we elevate people to win business.

"We believe that by transforming the company culture and investing in the people, it makes it easier and more fun to win business," she explains.

"We help businesses create a coaching culture which thrives on development, learning and winning.

"By having better skilled, more confident people, companies will have more happy customers and a rise in profits.

"Hiring us means that we take care of training your sales team and closing more deals, giving businesses back time to work on the business not in the business."

Offering opportunities

But that's not all. As a responsible employer, Rosalia is acutely aware of the struggles youngsters have in garnering the skills required to break into any given industry.

That's why she is so passionate about helping others, offering local work experience opportunities to school leavers and university graduates from Hitchin and North Herts.

"Since starting the businesses I have had three students join me for work experience," she says proudly.

Modest Rosalia adds: "One of my missions is to give back to schools and bring life skills/business skills to schools.

"I hope to continue to thrive and become a valuable employer of the community."

Empowering women

Rosalia is also a passionate advocate in helping to empower women.

She explains: "My other mission is to help younger women as well as more mature women, to use the power of their voice to stand out and speak up.

"I want to help more women be confident in business."
