School community celebrates after inspection finds it is 'friendly and welcoming' and 'pupils are happy and enjoy learning'
Children, teachers and families are celebrating after Our Lady Catholic Primary School, in Hitchin, was rated as 'Good' by Ofsted.
The school's Ofsted report said that pupils 'are polite and respectful' and the wide array of opportunities, trips and visitors means 'pupils connect their learning with the wider world… and are well prepared for the next stage of their education'.
Following a recent inspection the school, on Old Hale Way, has been found to offer a 'Good' quality of education across every category.
The glowing report says that Our Lady Catholic Primary School offers a 'broad curriculum that develops interest and curiosity' and 'supports pupils to gain important knowledge and understanding'.
Ofsted said: "Pupils' personal development is supported well through the curriculum and the wider opportunities that are available, such as sport and music. Pupils learn to keep themselves and others safe, including online.
"Pupils learn about different cultures, their traditions and beliefs. Pupils learn to respect each other's differences and celebrate diversity."
The school is hosting an admissions evening next month, with prospective pupils and parents invited to come along and explore their fantastic facilities, meet the school's friendly teachers and find out everything you need to know about joining the thriving and inclusive school in the heart of our community.
