[H1]HITCHIN: Former Priory pupil and social media influencer Molly-Mae Hague has opened up about finding a lump in her breast - while urging all women to check their bodies regularly.[H1]

The 22-year-old social media influencer from Hitchin recalled her reaction to the news on her Instagram story to her 6.2m followers.

The former attendant at Hitchin pool, who appeared on series five of Love Island, had previously revealed last year how she had undergone surgery to remove a lump from her breast after a biopsy revealed it had grown in size.

Updating her millions of fans this week by recounting her memory of such a worrying time, Molly Mae said: "I was literally in bed when I found [it].

"I was like lying in bed with Tommy and sort of lying really far back and sort of went like that [cupped side] on my boob and I literally felt it.

"Honestly, I think when you find a lump you sort of think how have I not felt this before?

"It must have come around so quickly, how have I not noticed it before? Mine was literally, it felt like a literal golf ball. It felt huge.

"Actually at first they recommended that I didn't have the lump removed at all. They said it was something called a fibroadenoma and it's benign and not serious, but I think that as a woman to have to just live with a huge lump in your boob, for me it just didn't sit right."

Molly Mae urged all women to check their bodies regularly adding: "I think when you know something is not right with your body you just know and I didn't want to just sit and wait for years to come for the lump to potentially turn into something sinister."

Molly-Mae, who once revealed to this reporter she knew she would appear on Love Island while working as lifeguard at Hitchin Swimming Centre now lives in Manchester with the half-brother of heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury, Tommy Fury - who she finished second on Love Island with - was the victim of an £800,000 burglary last year.

While the influencer and boxer were in London a gang targeted their Manchester flat and stole a vast quantity of goods.

The burglars stole jewellery and designer goods last year, with the couple losing goods worth up to £800,000.
