Last Sunday (9th Feb) Hitchin Town Football club announced a competition for local children to design their 2025/26 pre-match warm-up shirt, to be worn ahead of all matches next season, home and away.

If you're under 16 (as of September 2024) and live in Hitchin or the surrounding areas, are a student at a North Herts school or are a part of a Hitchin Town FC Youth or Hitchin Belles FC team, you can participate in this competition.

Here are the rules:

Colours: The shirt will be worn pre-match both home and away, so the design needs to incorporate our home (yellow/green) and away (purple/pink) colours.

Design: They are encouraging some creative designs here, so don't hold back!

How to enter: Scan or take a photo of your design and email it to [email protected]. Alternatively, you can hand the physical design into the Club shop at home matches on Saturday 22nd February or Saturday 8th March 2025.

Deadline: Designs must be received by the closing date of Sunday 9th March.

Limit: You can create as many designs as you like – there is no limit.

Template: A kit design template can be downloaded by CLICKING HERE. Alternatively, a limited quantity of physical copies will be available for collection from the club shop at home matches on Saturday 22nd February or Saturday 8th March 2025. If you don't have a printer and would prefer to sketch your own outline, or create a digital design, you're welcome to submit those too.

Junior Canaries: All entrants will automatically become a member of our Junior Canaries supporters club, where you will be sent a monthly newsletter packed with lots of quizzes, competitions and prizes. Shortlisted: Four designs will be shortlisted by Friday 14th March 2025. Supporters can then vote for their chosen design for seven days, after which a winner will be crowned. Keep an eye on our social medias and website for where to vote.

Shortlisted prize: The four shortlisted designs will each win four tickets to our final home fixture of the season on Monday 21st April 2025.

Winning prize: Once manufactured ahead of the new season, we will present the winner with their shirt. Their name will also be incorporated into the design of all of the shirts produced, to be worn by the players and made available for supporters to purchase.
