A man has been arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure in Hitchin.

The incident was reported to have taken place between Strathmore Avenue and Brampton Park Road at around 8.20am on Wednesday (15 April).

The arrest was made this morning (Friday 17 April) and the man, aged in his 40s, remains in police custody at this time.

The police issued a statement passing on a "Thank you to those who responded to our media appeal, enquiries are continuing into the incident and anyone with information, who has not already contacted police, is asked to do so".
