Residents across North Hertfordshire are being encouraged to share their experiences of using online council services as part of a new digital inclusion survey launched by North Herts Council.

The Digital Inclusion Customer Survey aims to better understand how people access digital services, how confident they feel using them, and what barriers may prevent them from getting online.

The council says the feedback will help improve accessibility and support for residents who may struggle with digital technology or internet access.

Topics covered in the survey include access to devices such as smartphones, tablets and computers, confidence using the internet, experiences using the council's website and online services, and what extra support could make online access easier.

Paper copies of the survey will be made available at council reception areas, leisure centres, libraries and town halls across the district. Council officers will also be visiting community locations and councillor surgeries with tablet devices to help residents complete the survey in person.

Sean Nolan, Deputy Leader of the Council and Executive Member for Customer Experience, said: "Digital services are an increasingly important part of how people interact with the Council, but we know that not everyone finds it easy to get online or use our digital systems. This survey is about listening to residents' experiences so we can improve our services and make sure support is in place for those who need it most."

The survey is anonymous and open to all residents, including those who regularly use online services and those who do not use them at all.

Residents are being encouraged to complete the survey by June 3.

Anyone without access to a computer can visit the council's Customer Service Centre on Gernon Road in Letchworth Garden City, which is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Residents needing help to complete the survey can call 01462 474000 or email [email protected]
