Hitchin security firm Arena Security to sponsor tractor at spectacular Christmas lights parade
By James Denselow 19th Oct 2026
A Hitchin security company is continuing its support for the local community by sponsoring a tractor in this year's spectacular Farmers on Christmas Lights Tour, just months after announcing a new partnership with Hitchin Town Football Club.
Arena Security, which is based in Wilbury Way, Hitchin, has confirmed it will sponsor tractor number 10 when the hugely popular festive convoy makes its way through Baldock, Letchworth and Hitchin on Sunday 20 December.
The annual event, which raises vital funds for Garden House Hospice Care, has become one of the highlights of the local Christmas calendar, attracting thousands of spectators who line the streets to watch more than 100 tractors and farm vehicles covered in festive lights and decorations.
This year's parade will be the sixth edition of the event, with organisers hoping to beat the impressive £56,000 raised in 2025.
Arena Security, which provides alarms, access control and CCTV services, is supporting the event through a new sponsorship initiative introduced for 2026.
For £250, local businesses and individuals can sponsor a tractor, with their name or logo displayed on the vehicle and on a giant digital LED screen accompanying the parade.
Arena Security's involvement will see the company's branding displayed on tractor number 10 as it travels through the three towns.
Continuing support for Hitchin
The sponsorship is the latest example of Arena Security getting behind local organisations and community events.
In August, Hitchin Nub News reported that the company had agreed a sponsorship deal with Hitchin Town Football Club, which included providing and installing a completely new CCTV system at the Canaries' Top Field ground.
The system featured four high-definition, anti-vandal cameras positioned around the stadium entrance and exit, between the turnstiles and ticket office, helping improve security for supporters and visitors.
In return, Arena Security became a club sponsor, with its branding appearing on pitch-side advertising boards and exterior signs around the ground.
At the time, an Arena Security spokesperson told Hitchin Nub News:
"As a Hitchin-based company, we're delighted to support our local football club.
"The new CCTV system will help protect the ground and those who use it, while our sponsorship gives us another way to play a positive role in the town.
"We wanted to become part of the local community, and Hitchin Town Football Club felt like a natural organisation to support."
The company's latest involvement in the Christmas tractor parade continues that commitment to supporting the town, while helping raise money for a much-loved local charity.
When will the tractors arrive in Hitchin?
The Farmers on Christmas Lights Tour takes place on Sunday 20 December 2026, with the following scheduled timings:
● 6pm – Baldock: The convoy begins in Clothall Road before travelling along the High Street.
● 6.45pm – Letchworth: The tractors arrive via Pixmore Way, travelling through Eastcheap and Broadway.
● 7.30pm – Hitchin: The illuminated convoy enters via Walsworth Road before travelling around Hermitage Road, High Street and Sun Street.
The event is free to attend and is organised by local farmers in support of Garden House Hospice Care, which provides specialist care and support to people and families facing life-limiting illnesses.
Organisers hope that donations from spectators, local business sponsorships and community support will help surpass last year's £56,000 fundraising total.
With more than 100 illuminated farm vehicles expected to take part, the parade promises to bring another spectacular evening of festive entertainment to North Hertfordshire.
