Each month, OpenTable analyses nearly 2 million global diner reviews from the past four months. They sort the results by location and category and is designed to help customers discover new favourite restaurants.
The good news for Hitchin residents is that two local food spots have made the top ten for this month.
The Kite at the Red Hart on Bucklersbury Street, that has been serving up food and drink since 1551, makes the cut.
Head Chef Olly Varney and his team are "committed to seasonality and presenting the best of British cuisine", according to the gastropub's website.
A Sunday roast beef will set you back £26 and they are already accepting bookings for over the festive period.
Less than a 10-minute drive out of Hitchin is the second restaurant to make this month's top ten; The Farmhouse at Redcoats.
Redcoats is situated in a picturesque rural venue that plays host to weddings and corporate functions.
They take pride in "sourcing produce from local Hertfordshire farmers" and from "securing game from trusted local shoots".
A Sunday portion of roast beef in the Grade II listed building costs you £24
