Tomorrow, Wednesday, (August 24) the people of Ukraine mark their Independence Day.

The date also marks exactly six months since Russia's invasion - 31 years on since declaring independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. #StandWithUkraine.

If you're from Ukraine or know anyone who is, come along to the coffee morning at Hitchin Town Hall and North Herts Museum Café (10am - 12pm).

They welcome all refugees in the local area to come and connect with others and seek support and advice from groups and representatives.
