FRIDAY - SATURDAY - SUNDAY

Todd in the Hole family friendly festival

The brilliant Todd in the Hole family festival returns this weekend after the pandemic.

The Todd Team have been working hard to bring a stellar line up to next years festival including, The Killerz, Amy Winehouse – A Tribute, Wham George Michael Tribute, Wrong Jovi, Mused, Dave Pearce, Pat Sharp plus loads more.

Ending the weekend in style on the Main Stage will be the legendary Martin Kemp and his Back to the 80's DJ Set.

Martin has been selling out across the country and with a reputation for huge singalongs on this rollercoaster ride through a trailblazing decade for pop music, the Sunday night at Todd promises to be one to remember.

All this, plus the return of the Woods Stage, Buskers Stage, Vincents Stage and a bigger and better Kids Arena to keep Little Todders entertained all weekend.

ANNE AND MATILDA – A Hitchin History

Anne and Matilda Lucas, daughters of the painter Samuel, spent their spinster years wintering in Rome and returning to Hitchin in the Spring. 

The play is set at afternoon tea where we are enlightened by their Italian adventures and they mischievously catch up on the Hitchin gossip. 

A delightful and compelling evening with these remarkable ladies, and number nine in the Series of Hitchin Histories.

Hitchin Symphony Orchestra Concert

As part of the Hitchin Festival, the renowned orchestra are pleased to work once again with soloist Alison Eales – their very own principal clarinet – on Mozart's iconic Concerto in A major. 

This will be accompanied by two of Haydn's 'Paris' symphonies, the stately 'La Reine' and the clucking 'La Poule', along with Lili Boulanger's highly contrasting Trois Morceaux, a trio of hazy yet pensive musical vignettes.

All tickets £10; accompanied under 16s free. Available via Hitchin Festival Box Office:

Pirton: Dragon Gong Journeys Gong Event

'Dragon Gong Journeys' Duo are bringing 'in-person' monthly gong sound events to the historical village of Pirton, Hitchin on elected Sundays. Please come along and discover the wonders of the gong!

Their intention is to offer something different and new with a musical, calm and soothing approach supporting the mind and body.

Allow your mind and body to relax to the vibration and sound of gong whilst lying on a mat or sitting.

Take this as a new experience - a time to self indulge and relax - a time to enjoy hearing something musically different - get to meet other similar minded folk. The Dragon Gong Journeys Duo, will be there to facilitate your experience.

The Platinum Jubilee: A Royal Display in Hitchin

To celebrate 70 years of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's reign, we are presenting a display of royal memorabilia, including paintings by Hitchin banner maker Herbert Sharpe of the Queen and Prince Philip commissioned for her coronation, photographs of royal visits to the area and other royal memorabilia. 

This exhibition is in The Arches, part of The Terrace Gallery. Runs to July 31
