I'm so proud of the team says humble Hitchin Boys' School coach Chris Bajak after Twickenham triumph

Humble Hitchin Boys' School coach Chris Bajak has been reflecting after his side's triumph at Twickenham.

Speaking after the HBS U15 side lifted prestigious silverware at the home of rugby on Wednesday, the popular coach hailed his talented teens.

With HBS emerging 11-0 victors over Torquay Boys' Grammar School the successful coach took time out from celebrations to speak with Hitchin Nub News in the Twickenham mixed zone.

The victory was the culmination of the national Schools Cup rugby tournament, sealed with six points from the boot of Elliot Oughton and a dramatic try from Leo Rainbow, with only five minutes remaining.

"I've lost my hair," the highly-respected shaven headed coach deadpanned moments after the victory, adding: "And my voice.

[I]"It was absolutely amazing. The whole experience was incredible.

"I'm so proud of the boys. For them to come to Twickenham and play on that pitch I know how I'm feeling. It must have been even more amazing for them.

"This group is special. I have seen that throughout the season and today. I am so proud of them."

Modest coach Bajak also took time to thank the travelling support from Hitchin which numbered around 750.

On a special day, the HBS team were also handed the honour of changing in the England dressing room.

Coach Bajak added: "To be in England's dressing room as well. It was unreal to think that World Cup winning stars have been in there.

Analysing the match, he added: "It was a bit of a scrap but I think we controlled our territory well in the first half and we got over the line in the second half.

"I can't honestly describe the feeling. I feel like a kid who still believes in Christmas."

Asked how he would celebrate the inspirational triumph, the victorious coach added with a smile: "With a beer."
