Stevenage travel to Vale Park to face a stuttering Port Vale side on Tuesday night.

Alex Revell's side will be looking to make it three games unbeaten after an encouraging performance against Walsall on Saturday.

Boro will be looking to build on the point gained against the Saddlers and have the chance to post a double over the Valiants after their victory in north Herts back in November.

Form

Boro will be buoyed by their recent form. Only three losses in 2021 have lifted spirits in the camp.

Their last five games have produced two wins, two draws and a solitary loss. This form sees them sit in 21st position.

Vale will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing run of games in recent weeks.

Their last five games have resulted in one win, one draw and three losses. This form sits them in 19th position and level on points with Boro.

Team news

Cahrlie Carter and Ross Marshall are still side lined by injuries, but the squad has been boosted by the return of club captain Scott Cuthbert on Saturday, who will be hoping to start on Tuesday night.

Danger Men

Striker Devante Rodney tops the scoring charts with nine goals, while former Boro midfielder Tom Conlon has hit five goals, while winger David Worrall has netted three.

Head-to-Head

The teams have met 11 times in league football. Boro victorious on five occasions, Vale taking the three points once and the spoils have been shared five times.

Alex Revell previews the game

"It's non-stop at the moment. The good thing is that the players are frustrated, and they want to play and go again so we'll be ready.

"We'll have to look at players because it's been a hectic week.

"We've got to make sure that we rest and recover and get ready for another important game on Tuesday."
