League Two: Stevenage 2-0 Swindon Town.

A brace from the outstanding Jordan Roberts sealed victory for Boro on a gloriously autumnal afternoon in front of 4,087 fans at Broadhall Way on Saturday afternoon.

The comfortable victory by Steve Evans side ensured the home side moved to the top of the table, leapfrogging early-pacesetters Leyton Orient.

The match marked Stevenage's twelfth successive home win, a club record, with Evans relentless team better than the Robins from. start to finish.

The 28-year-old Roberts opened the scoring with a well-placed header past Robins keeper Sol Brynn following Danny Rose's cross after only 11 minutes. Roberts, as with the rest of the team, worked like Trojans so press the visitors intensely throughout the match.

Roberts grabbed his second on the hour mark, slotting home from close range to make the match safe.

In the spring Stevenage were in disarray, bottom of the table and set for relegation, until the arrival of Evans. Fast forward six months and rejuvenated Boro are top.
