Stevenage FC: Paul Tisdale's Boro sealed a welcome victory, their first in eight games, after they beat visitors Walsall 3-1 in front of 2,167 fans on Saturday afternoon.

A Walsall own goal put Stevenage 1-0 up after only 25 seconds through the Saddlers' Rollin Menayese as the home side made a bright start to this League Two clash at Broadhall Way.

Chris Lines doubled the lead for Boro in the eighth minute as Paul Tisdale's side went 2-0 ahead.

After the interval Saddlers No7 Brendan Kiernan pulled a goal back for the visitors to set up an interesting last 20 minutes here at Broadhall Way.

However, Jake Taylor grabbed a late third in the 94th minute to seal a much-needed win.
