It's been a busy start to the transfer window for Paul Tisdale as he looks to shape his team for the second half of the season.

Goalkeepers Christy Pym and Laurie Walker (who have previously played for Tisdale), midfielder Ed Upson and Boro legend Michael Bostwick returns to the club he departed to Peterborough for 10 years ago.

One outfield player leaving the club has been Elliot Osborne, who leaves on a permanent deal to National League side Altrincham.

While Premier League West Ham have recalled loanee keeper Joseph Anang from Stevenage.

With Adam Smith's deal ending this month, and Anang returning to parent club West Ham, it was vital that Tisdale strengthened between the sticks.

First signing of the window was Peterborough goalkeeper Pym. Debatably the best keeper in League One last season. He made 40 appearances as Posh were promoted to the championship under the guidance of Darren Ferguson. He will be a welcome edition to a Boro defence that has been leaking goals this season.

Midfielder Ed Upson previously had a spell in red and white in 2008. He only made one appearance before returning to parent club Ipswich. Since then he's made over 300 league appearances. He brings a bit of grit and determination to the midfield which will be key in the fight for survival.

There's not much more to say on Michael Bostwick other than he is truly a Stevenage legend.

165 appearances, 2 promotions, 18 goals and some very memorable moments sums up his time at Boro.

After a spell in the championship with Peterborough, he moved to Lincoln then Burton where he has been used in the centre of defence and defensive midfield. Another player added to help sure up that leaky defence.

Lastly, keeper Laurie Walker has made a permanent move to Boro, to work under Tisdale for whom he played for at MK Dons.

The shot-stopper was regarded as one of the best gks in League Two last season, along with an impressive loan spell at National League side Aldershot.

He will be a welcome back up option to Pym, with maybe a more forward through to becoming the number one next season.

Nub News will be at the Lamex on Saturday afternoon reporting on Boro's League Two clash against Walsall
