Stevenage FC boss Alex Revell tells Nub News: We're expecting a tough match at Morecambe

Stevenage face a tough trip to Morecambe on Saturday afternoon.

Eleven games into the season - a quarter of the way through the League Two campaign - and Boro lie in a disappointing 21st position, with only a single win in the bank so far.

Speaking to Nub News, Boro boss Alex Revell explained the visit to the Mazuma Stadium to play the Shrimpers will be a challenge.

The side on the Flyde coast are currently sat in 9th place with five wins from 11.

"Make no mistake it's going to be tough," said Revell, adding: "we've got a relentless run of games coming up and we've got to be ready.

"We're expecting a tough match against Morecambe.

"We know that we've got to start winning games in the league, and we will go to Morecambe with a plan to get a good result, and use our win over Concorde to ensure we get more positive results.

"We should have scored a lot more goals this season but we haven't - we need to keep going and keep creating and hopefully the goals will come."

A good omen for this afternoon's match is that Stevenage's record against the 'Shrimps' is good.

Winning 20, drawing 12 and losing on nine occasions.
