Lilley Flower Festival set to bloom over Bank Holiday weekend
Lilley's popular Flower Festival – now in its 47th year – will take place over the Bank Holiday weekend, on Saturday May 2nd and Sunday May 3rd.
It will be held as always in St Peter's Church and the theme this year is A Blooming Good Read.
The village's very talented amateur florists have been hard at work creating no less than 21 stunning arrangements.
These range from The Secret Garden to The Woman in White and come in all shapes and sizes – some gracing the lofty church window sills, others filling the font and altar.
There'll be live music in the church with lunch and refreshments in the Cassel Hall, as well as a number of well-stocked stalls.
Come and buy your summer bedding plants, good quality bric-a-brac or choose from a selection of secondhand paperbacks and children's books.
It really is a fun day out for the whole family with something for everyone.
The Festival is open from 10.30am to 4.30pm both days.
Entrance is £4 and free for children.
All proceeds will go towards the upkeep of St Peter's Church.
