Witnesses sought following high value burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a high value burglary in North Herts.

The incident occurred at around 830pm on Saturday, October 21 at an address in the Upper Green area of Tewin.

It is reported the victim has been alerted by a barking dog, before the victim noticed one of her necklaces lay outside on the floor, prior to learning the bedroom had been ransacked.

There were several items of jewellery, including necklaces and watches, taken during the burglary – the value of which amounts to more than £120,000.

Detective Constable Max Maguire, from the East Herts Local Crime Unit is investigating. He said: "I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to report any information they have, no matter how significant they think it is.

"If you were driving in the Upper Green area at the time stated, and have a dashcam, please check your footage to see if you captured anything that may support our investigation.

"I would also like to ask any residents to check any CCTV or doorbell camera footage they may have to see if it has recorded anything before or after the incident.

"Additionally, if anyone has noticed any of the below items of jewellery for sale under suspicious circumstances, please report this to police."
