Patrick Sharp appears in court after being charged with Kajetan Migdal murder

The teenager charged with the murder of an 18-year-old has appeared at St Albans Magistrates' Court.

Patrick Sharp, 18, was charged with the murder of Kajetan Migdal, a Year 13 student at the Saint Henry Newman Catholic School in Stevenage.

Sharp was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon and possession of Class A drugs.attended St Albans Magistrates' Court on Monday, (May 30)

Sharp spoke only to confirm his name, and to give his name and address. He did not enter a plea, and is now set to attend Luton Crown Court tomorrow, Wednesday (June 1) for a plea and pre-trial preparation hearing.

Sharp's appearance follows the death of Mr Migdal following his school prom after the teenager sustained injuries in Cuttys Lane at around 1120pm on Friday, (May 27.) He was taken to Lister Hospital but sadly died in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He leaves behind his parents Gemma and Janusz, a younger brother Fabian and extended family across the globe.

A crowdfunding page set up by his aunt, Corrie Everett, to pay for Mr Migdal's funeral has already raised more than £18,000 at the time of writing.
