Police have released an image of two e-bike riders they would like to question in connection with an armed incident in Hitchin.

Two people were arrested following a fight in Hitchin on Monday evening that led to an armed response unit and a helicopter being called after reports of people being possession of weapons.

Officers are looking to speak with the pair in connection with the incident that led to at least five police cars also two police vans also deployed around the Redhill Road area of Hitchin on Monday evening.

Police told Nub News: "No one was hurt during the incident. The two males on e-bikes remain outstanding.

"Enquiries are continuing at this time, but the incidents are being treated as linked and the persons involved are suspected to be known to each other. 

"Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who may have information to assist enquiries. "

DI Ben Smith from North Herts Local Crime Unit is particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have information or CCTV footage capturing two males using electric bikes in the Westmill area on Monday night.

The crime ref is 41/25091/23.
