Full time: Stevenage 3-0 Leyton Orient

Steve Evans rampant side outclassed sorry League Two leaders Orient at a sold out Broadhall Way on Saturday.

Early goals from Jamie Reid and Jordan Roberts put the home side firmly in control in front of a season's best crowd of 6,989.

Worse was to come for Richie Wellens shellshocked side as referee Scott Oldham handed O's Idris El Mizou his second yellow card of the opening 45 minutes, to leave the visitors facing the second half with only ten men.

Late substitute Luke Norris then slotted home with a matter of seconds remaining to make the scoreline 3-0 and seal an emphatically deserved triumph.

On a bitterly cold January afternoon that saw a number of postponements in the fourth tier, Boro's well-deserved victory saw them move to within two points of pacesetters Orient, and an impressive 13 points clear of fourth spot as Evans Stevenage continue their promotion charge.

No wonder delighted Stevenage fans on the packed East Terrace saying: "Boro's going up."
