Can the fearless company of just 3 actors hold it all together and pull off their very own adult version of Beauty and the Beast using a minimum of set props and costume?

Get ready for another evening of slick, fast-moving, farcical fun and bawdy sexual innuendo for adults only.

Hitchin First Friday , is a new initiative geared up to supporting the transgender community.

Everyone is welcome, the event is taking place on the first Friday of every month. So far the Snug, the Pitcher and Piano, the Rose and Crown have signed up for the project.

Would you like to come out as your true self but are afraid to? This is what This event is all about. These places are zero tolerance when it comes to any form of trans or homophobia.

Allies are welcome as well, please help make Hitchin a trans friendly town.

Hitchin Tree of the Year competition: Find out how to get involved and vote for your favourite tree in our town

Get involved in Hitchin's Tree of the Year competition. 

Hitchin Nature Network are inviting you to nominate your favourite tree in Hitchin. 

Is it the most majestic, the most colourful, or does it have a special story attached? Is it a small sapling fighting against the odds? Perhaps it is the most photogenic or the biggest? 

o nominate your tree you just need to write a sentence or two describing your tree, take a photograph and send them both to Hitchin Nature Network either on Facebook via the Hitchin Nature Community group, or respond to the Tree of the Year post on the Hitchin Nature Network Facebook page.

The winner will be announced at the end of National Tree Week (Friday, November 25 through until Sunday, December 3).
