Hitchin's Willy Wonka of Ice Cream is gearing up to showcase his wares at a festive market this weekend.

Fabio's Gelato, with a store in Hitchin Market Place and Letchworth town centre as well as their Weston Gelato HQ, will be at the Grainworks Winter Market this Saturday.

Ice Cream Alchemist Fabio Vincenti tells Nub News: "We will be open to the public, where they can have a peek at our production unit, visit lots of traders and we will be selling, children's flashy Christmas lights, mulled wine, hot chocolate.

"There will also be the chance to savour a bespoke scotch egg made from chocolate orange gelato, filled with a chocolate orange ganache rolled in white chocolate and smashed oreos topped off with a chocolate orange truffle."

Fabio added: "We will also have some pre made Carlos and Yule log cakes and a selection of gelato which can be purchased in a cup to eat on the day or take home in tubs. The gelato flavours are wild - Nutella / Mince Pie / Jaffa Cake / Cherry bakewell / Rhubarb & Custard / Chocolate Orange / Kinder Bueno / Sticky Toffee Rum Banana (18+).
