League Two preview: Crawley vs Stevenage
League Two preview: Crawley vs Stevenage

Stevenage travel to the Broadfield Stadium to face Crawley on Tuesday and will be looking to bounce back after a 1-0 loss to Bolton on the weekend.

Alex Revell's side will want to get back to winning ways against a Crawley side who are winless in three games.

The clash was postponed in January after an outbreak of Covid at Crawley.

Form

Boro come into the game on the back of some encouraging performances but without the wins to show for it.

Their last five games have produced two wins, two losses and one draw. They currently occupy 21st place.

Despite their giant killing of beating Leeds in the FA Cup back in January, Crawley have stuttered of late in their league form.

They sit in 12th place and in their last five games they've won two, lost two and drawn once.

Head to head

The sides have met 14 times in league football, with both teams taking the three points on five occasions and sharing the spoils four times.

Danger men

Top scorer Max Watters was sold for a reported seven figure sum in January to championship side Cardiff City.

Before the move he'd hit 15 goals, closely followed by Tom Nichols with 11 goals and Ashley Nadesan with 5 goals.

Team news

There are no fresh injury concerns for Boro. Charlie Carter and Joe Martin will be hoping for a place back in the starting eleven after missing out on Saturday through injury.

Jack Roles will be hoping for his first start in red and white.

Alex Revell on the match

"It will be a different type of game. They've had a good start to the season and they had the FA Cup run so we know they've had a lot of games.

"We know we can go there and as long as we're professional and we take our chances then I'm sure we'll go there and we'll make sure it's a positive result.

"We need to make sure that if we go anywhere we're going to score and win and got to make sure we're in the right places to score goals and that's what we'll be focusing on in the next couple of days"
