LEAGUE TWO: Colchester 0-2 Stevenage

Steve Evans Boro clinched a vital victory over Colchester on Saturday to give their hopes of League Two survival a crucial boost.

Jamie Reid's right footed shot from close range late into first half stoppage time have Stevenage the lead.

Luke Norris' header four minutes after the interval doubled the visitors lead to make it 2-0, that saw Evans' side clinch a crucial triumph in their fight against relegation.

The win marked Evans first victory as Stevenage boss, after his side narrowly lost to Oldham last weekend.

Stevenage remain in 23rd spot but are now level on points with the Latics and fellow basement battlers Barrow, but with a game in hand on both.

Boro now look to hosting Rochdale on Good Friday at the Lamex in a vital fixture.
