Hitchin Cider and Cheese Festival

The Canary Club will be home to the Hitchin Cider and Cheese Festival on Friday

Admission is free, but cider purchases can only be made by using a voucher system favoured by beer festivals.

After the success of our live videos from the Hitchin Beer and Cider Festival Hitchin as well as the Walworth Festival, the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Market Place as well as Hitchin Street Food Monthly events, Nub News will be at the popular event to report on the event and film a few Facebook Live videos.

Holwell Scarecrow Festival

Holwell's sixth annual scarecrow festival, once again proudly supporting the Garden House Hospice

Walk around the lovely little village of Howell and hunt scarecrows.

Organisers said: "Come and see our fantastic scarecrows and vote for your favourite!"

The event runs from Saturday, July 2 through until Sunday, July 10.

Explore Radwell Meadows and learn how to build your own woodland den!

Join us along Letchworth Garden City Greenway for a ramble in nature where families can enjoy our local greenery. 

We will guide little explorers through the woodland, where they will use natural resources to build their very own woodland den- Bear Grylls style!

Opening Ceremony for the Unity Sculpture

All are welcome to attend the Opening Ceremony for our new sculpture "Unity" in the Peace Garden at Friends Meeting House, Paynes Park, Hitchin SG5 1EH. 

The ceremony takes place at 2.30 pm on Saturday (July 2) and there will be a talk on Public Art by the sculptor, Diane Maclean.

The Platinum Jubilee: A Royal Display in Hitchin

To celebrate 70 years of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's reign, we are presenting a display of royal memorabilia, including paintings by Hitchin banner maker Herbert Sharpe of the Queen and Prince Philip commissioned for her coronation, photographs of royal visits to the area and other royal memorabilia. 

This exhibition is in The Arches, part of The Terrace Gallery. Runs to July 31

Martin has been selling out across the country and with a reputation for huge singalongs on this rollercoaster ride through a trailblazing decade for pop music, the Sunday night at Todd promises to be one to remember.
