Stevenage's League Two clash at AFC Wimbledon has been postponed due to a frozen pitch at Plough Lane.

A pitch inspection took place at midday today, Friday (December 16), in which the match referee deemed the surface unplayable.

The match, set for Saturday, (December 17) will be rescheduled in due course with all tickets for the original match remaining valid.

The Dons said in a statement on Friday afternoon: "Following a pitch inspection, our scheduled home match against Stevenage has been postponed.

"Despite the best efforts of club staff and volunteers, the pitch was deemed to be frozen and not safe to play on for tomorrow.

"A big thank you from the Club to all those volunteers who helped us to cover the pitch earlier this week.

"Tickets will still be valid for the rearranged fixture and we will update you with a date for this, once it has been agreed with the EFL and Stevenage."
