Position: Quantity Surveyor - Groundworks

Location: Hertfordshire, South East England

Salary: 45,000 - 60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced Groundworks Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity in Hertfordshire? My client is a leading specialist in Groundworks, Demolition, Formwork, and Plant Hire. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to contribute to our success in delivering high-quality projects in the Hertfordshire and South East region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a crucial part of a small team responsible for all commercial aspects of multi-groundwork projects.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, client representatives, and counterparts.
• Visit project sites to discuss, assess, and record works, attending site progress meetings as required.
• Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment, including the recovery of variations.
• Review labour, plant, and material records for valuation monitoring purposes.
• Ensure timely receipt of payment notices/advice for submitted applications.
• Review payment notices for discrepancies and engage with surveying counterparts to discuss and reach agreement.
• Report and discuss the project's status with the team, providing regular updates.
• Assist in the pricing of estimating quotations, involving measuring, billing, and pricing preparations.
• Collaborate with the construction team, offering pricing and quantity advice.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Groundworks Surveyor in a similar role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Full UK driving license.
