Quantity Surveyor - required for our client based out of their head office in Hitchin with UK wide travel. The company the Quantity Surveyor will be working for a specialist contractor delivering Waste Removal, Demolition (including soft strip and enabling works) and Land Remediation Services.

The Quantity Surveyor will need to have previous experience working on full Quantity Surveying / Commercial functions, subcontract document review and negotiation and agreement of formal contract documents. Our client would consider a Senior Quantity Surveyor as well on a part time basis.

Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration

• Salary dependent on experience level uip to £60k
• Full expensed travel and nights away
• Package and benefits dependant on individual but include:

Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

• Attend client meeting and site visits UK Wide
• Liaise with other members of the team to ensure cohesion on projects
• Provide a full quantity surveying/commercial function to all regions as required and to contribute to the delivery of the annual budget
• Provide regular cash flow forecast of expenditure for package
• Finalise contractor's accounts and close out contracts for the project.
• Contract and warranty review and agreement pre-contract.
• Understand and deliver the client's requirements, encouraging repeat business.
• Subcontract document review, negotiation and agreement of formal contract documents
• Continual commercial support and advice to contract management / work winning teams

Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

• Degree within a Quantity Surveying discipline
• Extensive construction experience
• NEC 3 and 4 knowledge
• Knowledge within the Demolition industry would be highly advantageous
• Experience dealing with Main contractors
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to travel UK wide and nights away once a week
• Candidate will ideally be located up to 1 hour travelling distance to/from Hitchin
• Commercially astute
