Our well known and highly established client based in Hitchin are looking for a Component Production Operator, on a Temp to Perm basis. The perfect candidate must have experience within Metal Fabrication, as well as knowledge and skills within a Manufacturing environment. The hours for this role are Monday to Thursday, 8am-5pm, and Friday 8am-1pm. The pay rate for this position is £12.50 per hour. Main duties as a Component Production Operator: - To run machines and produce materials according to Company's standards - Be aware of scheduling requirements and work to meet targets - Operations include assembly and use industrial equipment and hand tools - Operate small and hydraulic presses and overseeing set ups after training - Quality inspection of products, ensuring they meet company standards - Responsible for setting tooling and correcting all faults, and report any quality issues to Team Leader - To adhere to all Health and Safety protocols, maintaining a clean and safe workspace Skills and Attributes needed as a Component Production Operator: - Minimum of 1 year working within Metal Fabrication - Experience of setting up machines appropriate for relevant jobs - Knowledge of Quality Inspection of finished products - Good understanding of Technical Drawings and ability to read them - Ability to follow Health and Safety procedures in a timely and effective manner - Ability to work well under pressure, and meet strict deadlines and targets - A positive attitude and strong willingness to learn - Team player Please apply within
