Our client is a social housing provider with a real focus on developing affordable housing to its clients.Currently they are seeking a Housing & Allocations Officer for a permanent role. The ideal candidate will have social housing experience and have experience in allocations.Duties will include:- Effectively manage allocation and letting of our rented accommodation, including general needs social housing, market rent and other rented tenure products, in accordance with Policy - To assess housing nominations to ensure they meet the Allocation Policy and proactively manage all aspects of our resident's tenancy and lease agreements - Undertake home visits and viewings of void properties with housing applicants- Deal with housing applications and mutual exhange tenancies- Maintain all records and logging of new resident information, ensuring all are balanced and accurate- Monitor the return of shared ownership sales and stair casing to ensure sales are completed within target time scale and to appraisal budget- Deal with all enquiries from solicitors and agents and complete sales documentation as required- Proactively manage and resolve cases of nuisance and anti-social behaviour, in line with policies, procedures and best practice, making full use of prevention and enforcement tools available- Attend court to present cases on behalf of the company and defend breaches of tenancy cases to achieve the best outcome
