God Save The King: Herts Police and Crime Commissioner pays tribute to Her Majesty
Hertfordshire's Police and Crime Commissioner has paid tribute to Her Majesty.
Since the Queen died at Balmoral on Thursday, hundreds of thousands of mourners have laid flowers up and down the country, including Hitchin Market Place, as well as Buckingham Palace, Sandringham House and Windsor Castle.
More than 750,000 people are expected top file past the Queen's coffin in Westminster Hall during her lying in state later this week.
David Lloyd, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire has been among the many tributes from public servants over the last few days.
Mr David Lloyd said: "In common with fellow Hertfordshire residents, I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth. The country is united in its grief.
"I would like to extend my deepest condolences to members of the Royal Family and to pay tribute to her long life of service built on a firm faith and deeply-held sense of duty. Every one of us has been touched by her life. May light perpetual shine upon her.
"God save the King."
