Stevenage reacts on social media to Steve Evans' Boro winning promotion to League One

Stevenage have done it! Steve Evans battling side have earned the right to play in League One next season after deservedly winning promotion from League Two on Saturday afternoon.

Second half goals from Jamie Reid and Luther James Wildin - his first since April 2021 - sealed a welcome victory that led to jubilant scenes at Broadhall Way after thousands of Stevenage fans ran onto the pitch in celebration.

The good-natured pitch invasion saw the Lamex turf engulfed with celebrating fans, delighted that their team had clinched elevation to the third tier.
