The draw for the next round of the Papa John's Trophy has been made - and has pitted Stevenage against Arsenal U21s.

The match will take place at Broadhall Way on Tuesday, November 22, with Mehmet Ali taking his young side to North Herts.

Ali's Arsenal academy team could feature Premier League starlet Ethan Nwaneri - who made global headlines when making his first team debut for the Gunners during their 3-0 victory over Brentford back in September, aged just 15 years and 181 days old.

The Young Guns became the first Premier League academy side to win through to the quarter-finals of the competition last term, before losing 1-0 at Wigan - and will be hoping to embark on an extended run once more.

They qualified for this stage after beating Stevenage's League Two promotion rivals Northampton Town, 3-1 at Sixfields last month, in a match which featured the precocious Nwaneri as a substitute.

Steve Evans buoyant Boro will be aiming for another upset after beating Spurs U21 and League One side Wycombe at the Lamex, while also merging victorious at Peterborough, also of the third tier.

Stevenage are second in League Two following their 1-0 victory over Hartlepool on Saturday, following an excellent start under Evans, who has revitalised the side after years of mediocrity and are set to give the talented young Norther Londoners a stiff challenge.
