What we are doing

We are planting 2,000 whip sized trees (60cm) on Swinburne Recreation Ground Hitchin on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th January 2023 and we are looking for volunteers to help us.

The work involves using a planting spade to make a slit in the ground, insert the whip and the supporting cane and tie on the bio-degradable tree guard. We are not digging holes and there is no ground to clear.

Hot drinks provided.

Timings

Saturday 10am - 3pm; Sunday 10am - 1pm, if necessary.
