[BNorth Herts residents are being asked to raise any neighbourhood safety concerns they may have, in a new online survey.[.B]

Launched this week by the North Herts Community Safety Partnership (NHCSP), the anonymous survey invites residents to provide feedback on crime, disorder and nuisance issues in their local area.

Responses given will assist the partnership in prioritising resources in North Herts and will be used to inform and create a new Community Safety Action Plan for the district.

NHDC's Executive Member for Community Engagement Councillor Judi Billing said: "This is an important opportunity for residents to make their voices heard and to highlight any neighbourhood safety concerns that they want to bring to our attention.

"We are here to listen and act upon the survey results, so please fill in the survey which will only take a few minutes to complete."

NHCSP is made up of a number of different organisations.

They include North Herts District Council, Hertfordshire Police, Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, NHS and other public, private and voluntary organisations who all work together to make the district safer and to ensure a higher quality of life for all residents.

Herts Police Chief Inspector Jon Roche said: "Feedback from the public is invaluable if we are to fully understand the issues that affect our communities on a daily basis.

"We have our own community feedback forum – echo – that we use to help us set our policing priorities, however we will also use the results of this new community survey and my officers will be working with partners to address the issues raised."

The closing date for the online survey is Friday, March 19.
