Stevenage vs Colchester: League Two preview
Stevenage vs Colchester: League Two preview

Stevenage will be looking to get back to winning ways on home turf against an inconsistent Colchester side.

Alex Revell's side will want to bounce back after a disappointing 3-1 loss against Exeter at the weekend against a Colchester team that have been struggling of late.

Form

Despite losing in Devon on Saturday, Boro's form shows a team on the up.

Only two losses from six games including impressive results against Cambridge and Scunthorpe have really built some confidence around the club.

The U's form tells a different story. No wins in seven fixtures has plunged the side into 15th place.

In their last six games they've lost four and drawn two.

Team news

Striker Luke Norris will be looking to make an impact against his old club and Matty Stevens will be hoping for a starting place after a very impressive cameo of the bench.

Colchester will be missing midfielder Harry Pell after he was sent off against Morecambe on Saturday.

Danger men

Boro fans will be well aware of Aramide Oteh. The striker was joint top scorer for Boro before he was recalled back to QPR and immediately sent to Colchester.

The powerful bustling forward has shown his quality at this level and the Boro defence will need to show their wits to keep him quiet.

Head to head

The two teams have met 15 times in the league. Boro have been the victors three times, Colchester have come out on top nine times and the spoils have been shared three times.

The last time the teams met was in November, with Colchester the 3-1 victors at the JobServe Community Stadium.
