A popular pub in our area has announced the date it will reopen!

The Old George in Ickleford, near to Hitchin has been busy gearing up to once again welcome punters.

The pub is now under new management, with the team being Kevin Morgan, Dave Spencer and Andrew Turner, a renowned chef who was mentored by the legendary Albert Roux. Andrew is set to work closely with new head chef Oliver Sturt.

The pub confirmed they will reopen on Wednesday, April 14. Writing on their website they said: "The Old George Ickleford is a family and dog friendly village pub with a fascinating history.

"Our food is always freshly cooked and there's a great selection of beers, spirits and wines."
