The Nub News online newspaper success story continues!
We've just hit 1,250 follows on Facebook and 750 follows on our official Twitter account, just a few short months after launching in Hitchin.
If you throw in nearly 250 followers on our Instagram account @HitchinNubNews no wonder we're starting to make waves in north Herts - with so much more to come!
The success story is replicated up and down the country with more than 50 towns and areas that Nub News operates in - with plans to reach 700 more towns across the land.
Nub News is busy revolutionising local journalism through our outstanding hyper-local journalism including our acclaimed UP CLOSE series and thought-provoking opinion pieces from our cohort of trusted contributors.
For example, our journalism is already making waves in Parliament and the corridors of power, not to mention across the industry, with Hitchin Nub News already grabbing a big name exclusive interview with Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, as well as a hard-hitting in-depth Q&A with rising star in the Conservative party and Hitchin MP Bim Afolami.
But politics isn't what we're about - far from it in fact - because our main focus, every hour of every day, 24/7, is on OUR COMMUNITY - and what matters to YOU while we provide top quality, hyper-local journalism at all times.
We've been with you every step of the way through lockdown and backed local businesses, community organisations, charities and individuals doing great work in Hitchin and north Herts.
We've provided clear information on Covid and the new tier systems, that only experienced, trained journalists can give, as well detailed reporting on retail issues such as Debenhams demise
Just like local newspapers used to do in their heyday, before online websites like ours changed the landscape forever, we support local libraries and museums on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, as well as promoting charity and community events.
We support everything good that goes on in our communities that we know about - from backing children's reading initiatives to festive markets - and a lot in between!
We share the things that matter to communities including planning applications, district council surgeries, Luton Airport, store opening times, hamper appeals, roadworks, train delays, school achievements, Christmas Market details and features, to whimsical stories that grab community interest.
To start your day, every day, we also have a daily briefing
So, a big thank you to our ever-growing number of readers who support us through taking an interest in our Hitchin and north Herts-specific stories.
Don't forget to sign up to our FREE local business directory and get YOUR company seen by our many thousands of readers in Hitchin and north Herts.
But don't take our word for it, if you're new to Hitchin Nub News, here's a small sample of our best journalism with our UP CLOSE interview features.
