A well-respected Hitchin business has moved into far bigger premises to underline their impressive continued growth.

Popular Raymond James Hitchin previously had an office Bancroft but have today, Monday (August 7) officials moved into a prime spot in our town centre.

The multi-award-winning branch headed by Susie Bewell and Faye Silver, who together have over 50 years' experience in financial services, have now moved into their Paynes Park offices.

The move was showcased by the attendance of Hitchin town centre boss Tom Hardy, as he welcomed the growth of such a highly-regarded institution.

Speaking to Hitchin Nub News at the opening, Tom said: "This shows that businesses are growing in Hitchin.

"Raymond James has been around for years and years in Hitchin, and yet they are still growing - even with all the challenges that businesses are facing. Yet they've moved into a large premises.

"They're growing their team and growing their business: It's a much bigger space, they've got more space to meet clients and they've got a much bigger car park.

"It's great to see. I think it's fantastic for the town."

Speaking to Nub News after the ribbon was cut, branch principals Faye and Susie said: "We are very excited.

"We've been waiting for this day for a long time. It's really lovely that Tom was able to come along and cut the ribbon and it's great to have the team back under one roof again as we've all been working remotely during the move. Everyone is very excited.

"It's a really beautiful building and we're delighted to have a ground floor premises which will also mean we should be accessible for plenty more people.

"Our message to our clients is that we are investing in Hitchin and here to stay. We very much look forward to welcoming everyone to our new offices in the future."

Susie and Faye won the Women in Business Services Best Business in Financial Services Award in 2019 and Faye was a Finalist at the Investment Week Women in Investment Awards in November 2022.
