The renowned Rump and Wade in Stevenage has signed up to the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. Read on for the full list

A large number of restaurants in north Herts have signed up to the Eat Out to Help Out scheme launched by chancellor Rishi Sunak.

Intended to boost restaurants who are facing challenging times due to the coronavirus crisis, the initiative has seen a number of eateries in Hitchin join up – along with many others across our area, including the nearby town of Stevenage.

Hitchin's Siri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara backs Sikh 'falsely imprisoned' in India on terror charges

Jagtar Singh Johal – known as Jaggi

Hitchin's Siri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara has added its influential voice in support of a Sikh man who has spent more than 1,000 days in custody for terror crimes he says he did not commit.

Well-respected elders from the Sikh temple from Hitchin's Wilbury Way insist Jagtar Singh Johal – known as Jaggi – is completely innocent of all charges and have called on the Indian government to release the British-born Sikh.
